They had no idea where I was; or that's what I thought.
My guess is the investigations pissed them both off, a lot.
I'd be interested to learn whether they employed or attempted to employ others, like police or other government organizations I'm engaged with, to track me down.
Now that the police have been sent and investigated me,etc. I'm an easy target.
My guess is the company tried to use a government organization I'm engaged with to hunt me down. They're not that stupid, but got a complaint regarding my finances anonymously a few months ago.
Jeopardized a lot of stuff. Had to take care of it immediately.
Just like the cops. Investigated, nothing funny.
