Gang Gear: Somali

Men:
Macawis: A sarong-like garment wrapped around the waist, often made of cotton or silk.
Thawb (Khamiis): A long, white garment common among Muslims, often worn for formal events.
Koofiyad/Shash: Headscarves or turbans, often colorful.
Dhiil/Kofia: A traditional hat, often made of wool or cotton. 
Women:
Dirac: A long, light, diaphanous voile dress, typically made of cotton or polyester. 
Garbasaar: A shawl or wrap worn over the dirac. 
Gorgorad/Gougarad: An underskirt made of silk, worn under the dirac. 
Shash: A headscarf, often worn by married women. 
Hijab: Worn by many women when outside the home or in the presence of men outside the immediate family.
